SOAK*2022 Patron Ticket Sales

Excited for the return of SOAK?! So are we! To help get us back to it, we are once again offering patron tickets. 

After two years on hold, it’s time to jump start SOAK production. This patron sale is intended to allow the community to support SOAK production by purchasing tickets at a higher price. These tickets help support SOAK expenses, the subsidized ticket program, art provisions, and volunteer appreciation. SOAK*2022 patron tickets will be priced at $550 each.

Patron ticket sales will be held starting on Wednesday, March 2nd at 12pm. Tickets can be purchased by visiting this site on sale day.

SOAK*2022 main sale is scheduled for Wednesday, March 23rd. Please click here for main sale information. 

If you’d like to make a tax deductible general donation but are not prepared to buy a ticket at this time, you are always welcome to do so on our website or by contacting us at info@precipitationnw.org.

SOAK*2022 Ticket Information

We're excited to announce SOAK*2022 ticket information!

Mainsale Tickets

SOAK*2022 mainsale tickets will be going on sale March 23. Check back here for more information closer to that date for more information about the sale.

  • Sale starts March 23.

  • Tickets will cost $169 and RV passes will be $65.

  • Approximately 705 tickets will be sold in the Mainsale.

  • Children 12 and under do not need tickets.

DGS Tickets

Placed camps and artists will have the opportunity to buy directed group sale tickets on March 16.

  • Sale starts March 16.

  • Tickets will cost $169, same as Mainsale.

  • Approximately 600 tickets will be sold in the DGS.

  • If you applied then you will be notified by March 11 if you received DGS tickets and how many.

Subsidized Tickets

A small batch of subsidized tickets will be made available for those in need. To apply, go here.

  • Sale starts March 16.

  • Tickets will $84.50.

  • Approximately 75 subsidized tickets will be sold.

  • Applications for those tickets will close March 10.

Patron Tickets

A small number of Patron tickets will be available at a higher price on March 2 at noon o’clock. For more info go here.

  • Sale starts March 2.

  • Tickets will be $550.

  • Approximately 20 Patron tickets will be sold.

  • Tickets will remain available for sale until sold out.

  • Patron tickets include an RV pass.

OMG Sale

There will be a limited number of OMG tickets available for sale at mainsale prices on May 4. Check back here for more information closer to that date for more information about the sale.

  • Sale starts May 4.

  • Tickets will cost $169, same as Mainsale.

  • Approximately 100 OMG tickets will be sold.

  • OMG tickets will be available until sold out.

Upcoming Event: Town Hall 2022

Join us for the annual Burning Man Town Hall meeting on Sunday, February 13th from 12pm-3pm on Zoom.

This annual event is sponsored by Precipitation Northwest and organized by Portland's Regional Contacts (RCs) as part of their volunteer work for the national Burning Man Project.

It is also a way for local burners (or the Burner curious) to meet each other, get information about local happenings, learn about updates to the annual regional event SOAK, as well as hear directly from the Precipitation Northwest Board of Directors about the organization’s recent and upcoming activities and work.

SOAK*2022 Announcement

A message from the our SOAK Production Team:

It's been over two long years since we last gathered in Tygh Valley and burned together. While there are still many uncertainties ahead for 2022, the SOAK operations team is excited to announce that planning is underway for SOAK*2022! Save the dates on your calendars, May 26th-30th. We're closely monitoring COVID developments and recommendations from state and local authorities. We'll continue providing announcements with upcoming event details and will remain transparent with any changes if new circumstances arise. We're doing everything we can to ensure SOAK*2022 happens - as long as our event can remain safe, healthy and fun for everyone. 

There’s been a lot of planning activity leading up to this point. We are excited to share the following news and updates with the community :

  • Our new website is live! Go check it out at soakpdx.com and find all things SOAK related; including event news, updates, volunteer information, and much more! 

  • Your returning SOAK*2022 producers are GoldDust (Revé Oviedo) and One Eye (Jeannie Rodriguez). New to the SOAK production team is Rye (Ryan Krellwitz). 

  • Lead applications are now open! Interested in getting involved? We’re looking for qualified individuals who want to lead, or co-lead, a SOAK*2022 department. If you are interested in joining the team, please see below for details:

Open Lead Roles:

SOAK is 100% volunteer-led and volunteer-run. Joining the Leads team is a great way to give back to our community, develop new skills, and make a difference at the event you love to attend. Not only will you be contributing to make our event even better, you'll also earn a free ticket to SOAK*2022 plus access to purchase one ticket via a Directed Group Sale.This year we have openings for Leads in the following departments:

Ambassadors (1 opening): Welcomes participants to the event. Staffs the Info Booth, and manages Lost + Found at the Embassy location.

Art Placement (1 opening):  Reviews art submissions, places art installations, art support,  coordinates with the Placement team for mapping SOAK.

Box Office (2 openings): Manages ticket processing & shipping, vehicle badges, canine attendee badges, and will-call.

LNT (1 opening): Staff, train, and educate LNT ethos to team & SOAK participants. Performs post-event cleanup, restoring the event site to its original state (or better).

Parking (1 opening): “Parks & Wrecks” handles parking lot management and controls traffic flow.

Print (1 opening): Onsite support and a ream of print jobs, from the Survival Guide to wristbands to stickers.

Announcing new Board Members for 2022!

We are pleased to announce three new members of Precipitation Northwest's Board of Directors for 2022. We are excited to have such qualified and enthusiastic individuals joining the PNW team!

Every fall, the Precipitation Northwest board interviews interested applicants for open board member positions. Board member terms are typically three years. 

Returning to the Precipitation Northwest board of directors are Danielle Parks, Molly Harpel, Kristin Stankiewicz, Alexander LaVake, Michelle David and Dina Moy. New to the board this year are Krista Basis, Pope Tart, and Patrice Mackey. We encourage you to read more about our board members! You can find their photos, bios, and committee involvement on our Board of Directors page.

We would like to greatly thank Dale Lucht, who retired from the PNW board as of the end of 2021. Dale’s hard work over the past several years built a strong foundation for Precipitation Northwest to continue to grow and thrive.

Burner Barn Open for Community Holiday Projects!

Do you need a little extra privacy or space to wrap up some gifts? Perhaps space, tools or a hand to put the finishing touches on that hand-made or DIY gift? Gifting a bike and regretting not getting it assembled there? Just escape your house guests for a bit? 

To help with that we’ll be having Burner Barn Open Hours over the next three weeks! We spread it over different days and times to hopefully facilitate your needs.

Tools will be charged, big table space available, hands for holding or helping available, and some wrapping supplies in case you need a redo and are at the end of your roll.

The barn will be open at the time listed and can stay open longer than listed end times if need be. The Barn has open airflow and plenty of room for distancing as needed.

OPEN HOURS:
Dec 12th, 12pm - 2pm
Dec 15th, 4pm - 6pm
Dec 20th, 6pm - 8pm


And, if you’d just like to meet your Burner Barn Manager, to say hi, discuss any ideas you may have or just want to have a beer, this is a great opportunity to do so.

Samuel brings a focus on real and sustainable growth and as, himself, a builder/maker, enjoys helping people bring their visions to life and providing the skills his background has provided.
